Core promise
We do not sell your proposal, contact details, or project information to roofers, referral networks, lead buyers, or data brokers.
Your proposal is used to generate, secure, store, and display your Decision Record through your account.
Roofers cannot pay to access, change, rank, suppress, or influence your record.
Information collected
Name, email address, encrypted password data, authentication logs, account status, and support requests.
Location, complete proposal files or entered lines, optional roofer name, uploaded-file metadata, Decision Record outputs, evidence references, revisions, and project history.
Exact normalized totals, quantities, scope attributes, confidence and validation results may be stored without source text or direct identity fields in a restricted internal quality-assurance dataset.
Stripe processes payment details. GougeAlert stores payment status, order/session references, amount, currency, and related accounting records, not full card numbers.
Basic analytics, device/browser data, rate-limit events, abuse-prevention logs, security events, and operational telemetry needed to run and protect the service.
Messages sent to Zedd or human support, plus limited conversation context needed to answer product-support questions.
Accepted Terms, Privacy, and roofing data-use versions; service-boundary acknowledgements; timestamps; and related quote/payment references.
Processors
Payment processing, checkout, receipts, and payment-security signals.
Quote parsing, AI-assisted analysis, hosting, logging, security, and infrastructure operations where configured.
Zedd support-chat responses and product-support assistance where configured.
Frontend hosting, content delivery, deployment logs, and basic platform security telemetry.
Cookieless visitor analytics for aggregate product and traffic measurement.
Account email, support delivery, transactional email, and delivery metadata.
Rights and retention
You can request access, correction, deletion, or support through the Support page or legal@gougealert.com.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to know, delete, correct, access, or limit certain processing. We will verify requests before acting.
We separate restricted complete source evidence, restricted exact de-identified facts, and thresholded aggregate statistics. Source evidence is retained only for authorized delivery, accuracy validation, reproducibility, security, and product improvement. Linkable records are governed by account deletion, legal holds, abuse-prevention needs, and documented retention controls. Payment and accounting records may be retained as required by law.
A raw proposal, source excerpt, or row-level derived record is not published or sold. External statistics require permissioned inputs, a minimum cohort, small-cell suppression, bucketing, and a re-identification check.
Uploaded proposal content may be sent to configured AI processors to parse and generate the Decision Record. We configure vendors for service operation rather than roofer lead sale or advertising resale.
