Summary
Public paid checkout is closed until the product passes its documented certification gate. Participation during calibration is limited and may require an invitation or code.
The supported launch product is residential, cash-pay asphalt-shingle roof replacement before contract or deposit.
The Decision Record compares proposal language. It does not certify a roofer, workmanship, licensing, engineering, code compliance, price, or outcome.
We do not sell proposal files, contact details, or project information to roofers, lead buyers, or referral networks.

By using GougeAlert, creating an account, submitting a proposal, entering a calibration beta, purchasing or using a Roof Project Pass when offered, or accessing a Decision Record, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy version shown when you submit. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Ironwood Global Data Management LLC (WY), doing business as GougeAlert operates GougeAlert.com and related services. References to “GougeAlert,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean that legal entity.
GougeAlert supports informational comparison of residential, cash-pay asphalt-shingle roof replacement proposals before contract or deposit. It does not support repairs, emergencies, insurance or claim documents, commercial roofs, or metal, slate, tile, cedar, or shake roofs. It is not legal, insurance, engineering, roofing, code-compliance, licensing, financial, or contractor-quality advice or certification.
Do not submit insurance, carrier, claim, public-adjuster, storm-scope, settlement, or Xactimate documents; repair or emergency work; commercial roofs; or metal, slate, tile, cedar, or shake roof proposals. The service may reject or produce an unable result for unsupported or insufficient documents.
You are responsible for accurate project details and for sharing only files you have the right to upload. Do not upload unlawful content, malicious files, or third-party private information you are not authorized to share. You may redact personal details that are not needed for analysis.
Beta outputs may change, contain errors, or be unavailable. Calibration participation is for product validation and does not create a promise of commercial availability, a completed record, or a particular result. GougeAlert may limit or end participation to protect users or product integrity.
The planned public price is $19 for one Roof Project Pass covering one roof project and 30 days of up to three proposals or revisions. This is not a current offer while public checkout is closed. If checkout later opens, the price and terms shown immediately before payment control. Stripe processes payments. No subscription or automatic renewal is planned.
The service may fail closed when totals do not reconcile, scope evidence is inadequate, documents are unsupported, or safety checks fail. During an active paid Roof Project Pass, the normal automated remedy is a dated, no-charge replacement upload within the pass window. Exceptional payment or legal refund questions are handled under the policy and law in effect at purchase.
Use a Decision Record alongside your own judgment, competing proposals, references, credentials, permits, site conditions, and qualified professional advice where appropriate. Output does not guarantee price accuracy, savings, contractor conduct, project quality, or any outcome.
Price context is supporting information only and may be omitted. GougeAlert does not promise that a proposal total or line item represents a market price. A price claim is withheld when source, date, geography, or confidence is inadequate.
GougeAlert is not your roofer, estimator, lawyer, engineer, architect, inspector, building official, licensing authority, insurance advisor, public adjuster, financial advisor, or settlement advisor.
You grant GougeAlert permission to process, store, analyze, and display submitted proposal materials as needed to provide, validate, secure, and improve the service. Calibration or improvement use beyond delivering your private record requires the permission represented by your beta participation or other consent. De-identified or aggregated information may be used to improve the product.
Do not bypass access controls, scrape or resell records, submit fabricated documents, reverse engineer the service, interfere with security, impersonate another person, or use GougeAlert to harass roofers or third parties.
The service, site, beta, and records are provided as-is and as-available. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and results.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, GougeAlert’s total liability for claims arising from a Roof Project Pass, beta participation, Decision Record, or related use is limited to the amount you paid for the service at issue.
You agree to defend and hold GougeAlert harmless from claims arising from misuse of the service, submitted content, violation of these Terms, or disputes between you and a roofer or third party.
Except for individual small-claims matters or urgent court relief related to intellectual property or platform abuse, disputes will be handled through individual binding arbitration under AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules. Class, consolidated, and representative proceedings are waived to the maximum extent allowed by law.
These Terms are governed by Wyoming law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where consumer protection law requires otherwise.
We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be posted with a new version date. A new submission or checkout may require acceptance of the current versions.
Important
Insurance or claim documents, repairs, emergencies, commercial roofs, and specialty roof materials are not supported.
